I have been looking around for an extended warranty for my '01 MB C240. Found one for $2,500.00. It covers everything but brakes. It has a tire allowance for $125.00 per tire, roadside asst., towing etc. It will cover my car for 5 years or 100,000 miles. My MB has 27,000 on it now. Is this a good deal? Thanks.

Depends on who it's from. I've been thrilled with my CNA extended warranty and how they cover everything no-questions-asked but I've heard horror stories about some of the other companies. Do some research to find out what their rep is like.

If the company is reputable -- that is a hell of a deal.
I was charged $2850 by Heritage for 4yrs/48K on my '00 E320 and they have doubled the price in the last couple months because these Mercedes are costing them way too much ( I know, you're all surprised)

Check with your mechanic and local dealer to see if they do business with the company you are considering -- and see what they think of them. If they don't hassle everybody on repairs and cover things well -- snap it up.

There might be wrinkles at that kind of price.

Good luck.
