GPS

Hello

I have a 2005 E320 CDI and I am told that the navigation can be (activated) by the dealer.

Does anyone have an idea what the cost is and what is entailed?

Thank you
Charles

If it needs to be installed then you may need to look at hardware not just software activation.

RE: GPS

If you have the Navi DVD data drive located on the left side of the luggage compartment along with the GPS antenna splitters under the plastic cover covering the audio amps, all you will need is activation and the latest Navi Data DVD.

If there is no DVD drive present, "activate" is the wrong word because your car is upgradeable but far from only needing activation.

The good news is that your 05 can be upgraded by adding the DVD drive and replacing the left side luggage compartment liner with a new assembly that has an access door to the DVD drive. The "Command" should be pre-wired for the additional hardware although some early 05's might need an additional mounting bracket. The install package is a kit designed for local installation by your dealer and is fully covered under warranty as a dealer installed accessory. In North America the install kit is around 1500 USD not including the price to install it. MBEZNL.com should have the kit available if you wish to do your own work and just have the dealer "activate" it after you are done.

Potato Chip, custom canuter valve, low-friction muffler bearings, synthetic turn signal fluid, Hi-Definition Progressive Scan Wiper Blades.

If it says Pratt and Whitney on the outside it better say Martin Baker on the inside.

RE: GPS

Hello n5160u

Hey thank you for the very helpful information I’ll take a look to see what I really have on board.

I am able to buy parts from my dealer wholesale so it maybe an option for me to do the install.

(MBEZNL.com) is this an abbreviation for a website? I am not having any luck with it.

Again thank you for you time.

Charles

RE: GPS

Sorry about that, this place needs a spell check function:
