e-bay or call 800-FOR-MERC(EDES). Not sure if they ship to a Canadian address. Might have to get it sent to a US address.

...'scuse me, while at this, I want to ask something:

Which is better among manuals? Chilton or Haynes. I have Chilton, since it's pretty hard to find Haynes here. Which has better explanation for DIYers?

$20 to $30 for a Haynes manual? Pep Boys, Autozone and Kragen have them for $16 each!

Check your PM too

RE: The braingears website, why is it that when you get to the 300E info, half of the info that is supposed to be there, is not there. I like your site but what I'm looking for, isn't there. Today I'm trying to find out what sensors are in the intake manifold. Guess I will go buy a book somewhere. I asked this question a long time ago, no answer. OH well have a nice day

Please don't spill Champagne in the Mercedes.

RE: Looking for shop manuals

Hi Tony,

If you live here in the US, MBUSA Classic Center will ship you a set of the Service CDs for $25. I've a set for my W126 loaded on my HD and use Steve Nervig's Index Tool to access the data. Works great!

Your complaint regarding missing data on the Braingears site is a valid one. The MB CDs (especially the earlier CD versions) have many addressing issues, so there are a lot of 404 errors that come up often.

When you get a 404, look carefully at the address in the browser, where you will find a slash reversed. Just change the direction of the slash & reload the page. You will get the information you seek.

If you have your own CDs & use Steve Nervig's Index Tool, this addressing problem does not occur.

Hope that sheds light..........

Cheers, MBL

Might you consider updating your profile to include your car and general location? Make it easier to tailor assistance specific to your needs. Thanks.
