Sirius Radio in 2000 S430

What options do I have to install Sirius Radio in my 2000 s430? Is it possible to replace the COMMAND system with one of 2005 with the DVD Navigation and Sirius installed? If not, would the JVC SIRIUS Satellite Radio Receiver and Car Kit Package (KTP-K2000)work in my car? If so, would it be wise to have MB do the installation or let BestBuy do it?

Thanks for your assistance.

Hello everyone, Im new with this site....my question is about my 2002 S500. Is there a Aux connection on the back of the radio? If so I want to connect my XM radio kit. Or is that even possible?

Check 2 things.
Does your Comand head unit have a way to select Aux input?
If it does then look inside the glove box. On the left wall, check if there's an AUX input.

I did this on my 2001 S class. You can buy one of those Satellite radio units, that come with the display and antenna.

Then, just put the antenna somewhere in the dash, run the wires and hide them. The way to power the Satellite radio is like this:

The easy way is to get a tape adapter, and put it in your Mercedes tape player in the command and connect it to the satellite radio unit. The second way is also an FM transmitter, but you may need someone who specializes in car audio to install it inside and run the wires.

Otherwise, no way to really integrate it into the command without change the command system itself in these older w220. The newer ones had satellite radio as an option, but not the older ones.

xm on S430

Actually i just checked i don't have cassette player in my system. i have the04
s430. There is cd player command ,fm,am the navigation command.
so the cassette conversion is not my option. tried to see if i have aux in glove box, couldn't find one. maybe i don't know what to look. i can spend couple hundres. but toy car said they need more than 600 and still are not going to use my system command.
