Nano paint available at dealer in-house body-shop?

After my accident (http://www.benzworld.org/forums/foru...osts=28&fid=50), the time has come for painting.

My car is being repaired at my Mercedes-Benz dealer's in-house body-shop. Do you think they have access to, and use the original MB nano paint???

Will they use some other "standard" paint?

&postsWow, that looked nasty. Glad you and your wife are ok.

I think your best bet is to ask them what they are going to use. Your question is really about the clear coat - PPG Ceramiclear clear coat . It is possible that they don't know, or are not aware, of some of the details like what MB called it in their press release. If they don't know or are not sure, you can also ask them if they do anything different or use anything different for paint codes that start with a C. If that doesn't work, you should ask them to check with MB.

Good luck and let us know what you find out. I'm hoping an MB body shop uses MB factory paint and clear coat.

I think this link has a link to the press release - which is probably also in the news section...
Do you have the new clear coat?

I've had my car for just over a year and can say there are virtually no visisble scratches. I can find a couple of random, extremely fine scratches if I get it at just the right angle but no swirl marks at all that I can see. Good stuff.
