the best part about the computer is the ability to scroll past anything one may consider garbage. the reason i say one is because what i consider garbage may not be to someone else. you dont have to read what might be offensive to you. just scroll past it.

Props to Jamison for that excellent signature. GO REPUBLICANS!!! WOOOOOO!!!! I noticed that the people who didn't like it were linguini spined east coast leftists. They should listen to some Sean Hannity, or some Rush Limbaugh who have the LOONEY LEFT figured out. HAHAHAH!!! Libs (that means LIBERALS for all you libs who haven't figured that out,) hate conservative talk radio. HAHAHAH....LIBS!!!!!!!
I'm sure that I was one of those you mentioned
but I my case your totally wrong.

I for one don't give a hoot about politics
since all politicians are all the same.
They care for their pocket first and what
ever is left goes to the populous.
I don't believe a single word a politician
says no matter what side of the fence he's on.

Just take a good look at all the promises
that are made during the campaigns and then
look at how many actually kept their promise.
I think you'll find that it is a very small
number and it isn't confined to just one
party.

The only way to stop this is for me to become
a politician myself, but since I'm not
interested in politics, it's not something
that is going to happen any time soon.

Louis.

Lou's W123, props to you for not getting angry, but instead, simply stating your perception.

RE: Why arent there more manual trans. benzes?

Jamison, the SLK started out as an Auto only vehicle but after much demand and competition from rivals BMW Z3 and Porsche Boxster, MB introduced a Manual, albeit not a very great one. For 2005, with the SLK 350 they fixed the "problem" by introducing a newer, better manual and making it standard with the auto as an option. Unfortunately, the SLK55 is available only with an auto - what a shame. Some folks would like to see most of the AMG models available with a stick just like rival BMW's M-models (M3, M5) and so would I. I have not figured out why they stick to autos so religiously on their Sportier cars. I believe there is a market for AMG's with manual trannys, and to have a true competitor to BMW's M3 and M5 they should offer a stick for the C55 and E55. Now, these would definitely be a blast to drive.

Yeah i wish my cl55 was stick but it's okay. i just think its because sticks don't really appeal as luxurious. Why would you wanna do something yourself when it can already be done for you, we are all lazy and dont deny it!!
