I have just purchased a '99 spec E300TD Advantgarde.
When I was viewing the vehicle I noticed that it had several paint bubbles on the roof and particularly around the rear boot lock. I looked at other E and C class cars and they too were affected.
The non-franchised dealer advised that this was a "common problem" and as the car still had 11months+ of it's original anti-corrosion warranty remaining, I could take it to any MB dealership and they would sort. Is it really that straighforward in that I'm not going to get any resistance from the MB dealership? Do they have a duty of care to ensure that this work is indeed carried out regardless of whether or not the vehicle was purchased from them?
Thanks in advance......[?]
