The car parked too close to my other car; therefore I couldn't take better pictures. Anyway ...

Yup, including shipping. I got it about 2 years ago though when the very first 8000K came out. Pictures didn't really show how bright the lights are. Until now, people still don't want to drive in front of me at night. Or opposite direction for that matter.

People in town know it's my car at night. [:)]

4100-4300K depending on who you talk to. They are that temp/color because that is supposedly the all around best and brightest looking. IMHO, not true. The 5000-6000K "looks" brighter to me even if they make fewer lumens. I'm not talking about "bluer" like some ricer's fake HID's, but actually brighter. 'Course, I'm color blind so what do I know?[B)] I'm going to swap just one of the "+" Philips bulbs with a stocker to judge the difference. It should be very close to the conversion in my high beams. Haven't seen a set of 8000K in person. For $85.00/pr, I can afford to experiment.

The projectors used in the headlight setup play a great deal on how much light hit the ground. Mercedes actually has some of the worst hids around. They just recently began using bosch bixenon projectors, as oppossed to the hella bixenon e500 style, which are probably the worst in terms of light output. Also many of you all have d2rs, which put out less light than d2s, only about 300 lumens less, but do not provide the flicker that projector based hids do. The best projectors can be found in the honda s2000, acura tsx, 04 + acura tls, and 04 + lexus ls430. Look sometime and you too will see.

The "+" bulbs are in, and I'd say,,,,,,,,,,,,,looks the same to me. Tried one on the drivers side first, and couldn't really tell the difference. Installed both anyway. Anybody need a matching pair of used stockers cheap?

Are those "+" bulbs better than the stock Xenon bulbs?

After living with them for a while now, I'd say maybe. They're different, and maybe a little brighter looking, but not much. Just slightly whiter/bluer than the stock 4300K bulbs.
