Does european delievery really save money or would it be cheaper to buy the car at a dealer/internet?

RE: European delivery

i dont think its really cheaper after you add up everything. but its the whole experience, thats why people do it. you go there, see the factory, drive your car out of the factory, drive thru europe, etc. just remember that once you drop the car off at the port to be sent to the US, you gotta wait about a month before it arrives.

RE: European delivery

The European delivery doesn't save money, even if you were planning on a European vacation anyway. The basic package gets you transport from the airport to Mercedes, overnight hotel, 15 days insurance, and all the transport charges and fees to get the car delivered to the Mercedes dealer of your choice in the US. The program does offer a very special experience of selecting your car's appointments, then being personally introduced to it at Sindelfingen, tour of the factory and museum, then being set free for a road trip of Europe. There are hotel packages available, including one where you just leave the keys with the concierge and they take care of delivering the car for shippment.

European delivery offers a discount on certain models (C-Class, E-Class sedans/estate, CLK coupes, and S-Class sedans) and there is no discount for the AMG models, CL coupes, SL, CLK cabrios. The M, G and SLR are not part of the program.
