Replacing fuel filter...2.5TD...any hints

So I am looking at (in my minds eye) the canister diesel fuel filter mounted at the front of the 2.5TD in my 190. I replaced one once in my old 300D and as I recall I worried about air getting into the system. I plan on filling the filter with fresh diesel, and then if I remember right there could be a bleeder bolt on the top of the housing and a manual pump somewhere to get some bubbles out the bleeder. Is this right? Just got the car 3 days ago and no manual yet.

I am not familiar with this model but you shouldn't have to worry about air. Just replace and leave the top bolt loose, find the hand pump and pump until you get nothing but fuel, close up and your done. Check to see if you have a primary filter (small inline filter) and change it at the same time.
