You got that right,... ever since the W210 & CLK Mercedes has lost alot of quality,... eventually leading to my ML350 which was built by the 3 blind mice!!!

W126. Many are over 20 years old and retain the prestige they had when brand new. Also, they're easy to work on and will total any 90s car that crashes into it.

2001 BMW E38 740iL Sport
1984 MB W126 300SD (gone)
1991 MB W126 560SEL (gone)

The w126 560SEL

Powerful, Sturdy, Beautiful, Heavy, Huge and Intimidating which is in my mind, the ideal Mercedes Benz

Uber old thread......(against the rules to bring them back from other forums I'm from, dunno what the deal is here)

The best? All things considered?

Hmm....tough one....

I would be torn between the W124.5 E500 or E420, or E320 Coupe or the 96-98 W140 Coupes.

I like seeing some of the old threads pop up. It gives a snapshot of what Benzworld was like when it was growing up.

As for the best cars, well, if I had to do a complete reset of my cars to get what I think would be the best of Benz, my only change would be to bring in a 500SEC or 560SEC to replace one of the 500Es. I think the 500E is just about the zenith of the Mercedes production cars with the 560SEC a very close second [it just needs more power or room to make more power]

Clearly nobody here in this thread is aware of the W208 CLK, which is the best thing since sliced bread, timeless lines, amazing design...you'd be a fool, to decline.

Get the CLK430 or the CLK55 AMG...
