RE: urgent: Mercedes mechanic needed in Philadelphia area
I agree with your diagnosis of the linkage problem. here s hoping. [:)]
You probably already know this website..... but just in case, its a great resource. I have always really liked the Mark I.
In April of 2000, I had the opportunity to visit the famous Brown's Lane, Coventry, Jaguar Works, and the Jaguar Heritage Museum. I happened to be in the Museum when they asked for my help to move (physically push) the 1986 (I think, or was it 1990?) Lemans Winner out of the way, so they could drive a C- or D-type outside onto the waiting 'lorry' for transport to the annual Goodwood Festival of Speed, where Jaguar was the featured marque that year. It was great! I spoke with the guy whose job consists in driving these classics in and out of the Museum, and onto the various Show venues. Needless to say, he loved his 'work', plus, as an added bonus... he actually gets PAID to do this! [:)] Nice work, if you can get it, huh? And what a sweet exhaust note from that D-Type![:)] It was a memorable afternoon.
I hope you dont mind my sharing that story with you... as a Classic Jaguar owner, I thought you might appreciate it.
