Applying new badges (need help)

I am applying new badges to rear trunk. Can anyone suggest how to properly align so they are straight and look as close to new as possible???

RE: Applying new badges (need help)

I would apply a piece of tape along what will be the bottom edge of the letters. You can then use a level, or stand back and look at the tape from several different angles to make sure it is in the proper location and is level. Then you just apply the bottom edge of the letters at the top edge of the tape (assuming an OEM style badge) and peel off the carrier, peel away the alignment tape, and VIOLA!

Thanks, as the old badge is no longer there, is there specific placement it should go, like two inches to the left and x amount of inches from the center, or does that sound silly I am being so particular? This is for the badges on the right side of the trunk.
Many Thanks

I think the best way should be coming to the dealer lot, park next to a car and apply your badge [:)]

I just did this, I used a horizontal piece of tape as mentioned above, then I referenced a couple of pictures and used a vertical piece of tape to mark off the end.

What happened to the original badges? Seems like alot of people are getting their badges stolen. I hope thats not the case for you.

Anyways I would use the tape method as well as going to the dealer and parking right next to a car on the lot.
