Where do I find my "radio codes"? (ML 320 trying to install battery)

I left a post regarding installing a new battery, and everyone keeps saying to have your "radio code" and other codes beforew you do it.

Where do I find or get these codes? When and where will I need to enter them at?

Please help!!

when the car was bought new a card will have been given with it there will be a 4 digit security code, if you don't have this then you have to speak to your dealer, when i mentioned other codes i was thinking in terms of immobilizer and remote key bob but the system has a kam "keep alive memory" built in to it so you might not need them but its just a possible warning if you have any difficulties afterwards

If you do not have your radio code you will have to supply the dealer with your chassis number and proof of ownership and they will source it out for you.

I had a battery fail on mine and when I called the roadside assistance number to get them to bring me a new battery I explained I had bought the truck used and did not receive the owners manual or the radio codes. I was able to give them the VIN number and he gave me the radio code. You can try that and save yourself a trip to the dealer.
