Removing Headlight Rings

Anyone had any experiences with safely removing and reusing them? Do you need to use some sort of adhesive - what? - the second time around?

RE: Removing Headlight Rings

You can try a mixture of water , rubbing alcohol and baby shampoo. Spray it liberally around the surface area and the contact area, let it sit and then remove it by using fishing line under the ring itself. Another method is to heat it with a hair dryer and then use the fishig line. Any contact cement should hold it for re-use.

Thanks! I think it's best just to leave 'em on for the next owner and get new ones for the $29 + S&H...
