2004 E500 Speed Limiter

Boy this sucks--My 03 highly modified 2500 diesel 4wd Silverado HD will out run the Benz[}:)] Is there an easy way to fix this as my 00 ML55 would run up to 155 before it cut off! Thanks for the help!! [:)]

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming -- WOW--What a Ride!"

no easy way mate its computer controlled so you don't blow the engine, just how fast do you want to go?? buy a super sports car instead or as well for weekend thrills on the track i hope those speed on the road will only land you in big trouble with the law

RE: 2004 E500 Speed Limiter

I understand that it is a ECM issue as I have been using programmers for years just not on the MB. According to the specs(this is my wifes car)The speed is limited to 130! I have replaced the OEM tires with the Pilot Sports that are higher speed rated than the OEM's and are run flat as well.

I live in Texas and we travel on very long straight roads from time to time and if I want to go fast the MB is not the speed demon I would pick. My motorcycle makes over 700hp and will run over 145 in 1st before the shift light comes on so don't worry about my speed runs and the law.[:)]

check under the accelerator peddle for a block which prevents it being depressed all the way down and the throttle ( throttle stop screw )the flap in the throttle body and cable linkage have stoppers on them to prevent full throttle, turbo linkage is another one, i was thinking MPH as opposed to KPH
