55 and 600 ... same HP?

Why do MB makes their S55/CL55/SL55 same HP with their S600/CL600/SL600 ... then what is the point of having both of them ... why not combine and make just one model?

RE: 55 and 600 ... same HP?

because the V12 was the "must" top of luxury(more torque!), and the V8 kompressor was under that's all and the 55 was the 500 engine modified by AMG and you must to see the AMG with the AMG, 600 have a AMG version the 65 ! you must to see 55 VS 65!

RE: 55 and 600 ... same HP?

You are right they do have similar Bhp, but the torque and the style points of having a twin turbo V12 are the major factors for the 2003-2004 models.

The best all rounder form all of these cars would be a AMG'd (from factory) 600,... the best of both worlds.

Also you can have your car delimited/tuned (like I did) and then you won't need to worry about the 65 either.

The s/c V8 is more sporty, the biturbo V12 is for grand touring.

the best way to put it is that the AMG is the "track car" and the 600 is the autobahn runner
