Mercedes Repair Manual on CD

Somebody on EBay is selling a CD that alleedgedly covers repair manuals for 1983-2002 MBZ Vehicles. Below is the link. Has anyone ever purchased anything similiar? Is this a Factory CD or aftermarket? I guess the big question is whether it's worth the $22.00. Anybody got any feedback? 904

Seems like seller has good feed back but $22.00 for that much information, I doubt it! Personally, I'd not buy it.

RE: Mercedes Repair Manual on CD

Hi Arnel,

I purchased a COPY of the official MB Service & Repair manuals CD on EBay several months ago. These were for the W126 model series only, and the combined data is 1.23 GB in size. They are very good & have lots of useful info on them. They are, I'm sure each is either/or darn close to an exact clone the original CDs. Cost: $25+ (even at the MB $, if you are handy w/tools......... worth the expenditure (IMHO).

The seller currently has 295 of such CDs for auction, covering nearly every marque one can imagine, has gotten great reviews from his customers................. etc.

Even though a link is provided to ask him/her questions via email......... see below.

Personally, I find it hard to accept the claim that this CD will cover everything MB for 19 years. ( "This CD has everything you will ever need to repair your Mercedes-Benz vehicle" )

Then, interestingly enough, I attempted to drag an image (Service and Maintenance Manual) from the link you provided and got this: as a source page. Check this content B4 you purchase, perhaps....... (Your MB & mine are not video games/ I think)

If you can get (a copy of) the MB CDs, definitely go for it, others need not apply.

My 3 cents, and good luck, MBL

The same 'guy' seems to work on EVERYTHING!

RE: Mercedes Repair Manual on CD

That offer is B.S.

The actual factory stuff that was floating on eBay was around $80 and covered all models including non U.S. versions up through 2002 on four CD's but included the upgrade to the 2003 models on an additional CD.

The files are compressed big time cuz the whole thing wants 7 gig of space to install in on your C drive. Trying to install it split acress C and D because most people don't have 7 gig free on C may cause problems with operation.

Although the program operates in several languages the installer is only in German so it is an adventure just to install it correctly and know when and how to enter the forty five digit "Lizenzschlussel"

Potato Chip, custom canuter valve, low-friction muffler bearings, synthetic turn signal fluid, Hi-Definition Progressive Scan Wiper Blades.
Law-makers are supposed to regulate in the interest of the public as opposed to regulating in the interest of the regulated party.
If it says Pratt and Whitney on the outside it better say Martin Baker on the inside.
