RE: boguse questions

Some punctuation and a bit of syntax would be nice too. I don't even understand the original point; teky, are you saying people come and ask questions to which there is no answer, or ask questions as a test of the replyer, or ask a question which is really a statement (like "anyone else recovered from the toxic gas from AcmeCorp's cupholder adhesives?")

Which is it?

I agree that forums are always at risk of deterioration, especially when the topic is a high-profile brand; most of that risk is from small kids of all ages, who confuse the process of "calling out" or "counting coup" with actually chatting online.

...I make that 917 Bhp...!

RE: boguse questions

well, i think you can actually tell a bogus / weirdo question from a sincere one. Like for instance, based on that previous example, the person seemed to be having a "flight of ideas" meaning that he/she may have no pattern of thought and notice the erroneous spelling and grammar..this guy is really messed up. you can tell.
however, sincere people who really dont understand anything about the mercedes engine and only knows how to drive one like me for example, deserve to be given honest and sincere answers to our simple questions.[:)]
I own 2 japanese suv's and a sedan besides my mercedes and i often seek help from an expert mechanic to diagnose and repair any vehicle problem i encounter. I just wanna learn and understand how to properly maintain a mercedes.[:)]
there really is a thick line between a bogus question and a sincere one and i hope expert readers should see that.[:)]

RE: boguse questions

example then, does any one know about a 4 door 190e convirtable, when i answered, the person had a good laugh "the question was bogus" because he obviously new as well as i did they never made a production model, then he showed a picy of a bmw with a mb badge 4 door convirtable, so it was a deliberate wind up, i knew it was a wind up but i gave answeres anyway to see the outcome but as it was the persons first question it was obviously a trick question so basicly he/she was just a tit, as you all know try to answer all questions regardless of forum so i think it was aimed at discrediting me personaly even though it never would i have these problems on other mb sites but its down to a few trouble makers who would love to own an mb but cant afford one so they pick on sites because of that, if the person sees this post i wonder if he knows you can buy a mercedes very cheap these days

Speaking of spell-check and syntax. I couldn't agree more. Maybe this booklet would be helpful for our more challenged writers...
