RE: Mercedes C220 opinions
a) where are you
b) what's your budget?
c) auto or manual?
The 220 is a rapid little motor, and also seems to be longer-lived than the smaller engined C classes - here in the UK the default model is the C180 and they seem to get tired relatively quickly (I suspect this is down to owners not maintaining them rather than anything inherent): 220's seem to me to be rarer than a lot of other models. In my view the C class to have is the C230 Kompressor; not too nose-heavy, happy at 100mph all day, and easily upgraded with bigger 'charger pulleys etc. But it all starts with your budget!
Oh; remember that all C-classes have twitchy suspensions when it comes to wheel weights; if you drive them and they vibrate or weave or whatever, then push the price down, but keep smiling - it's an easy and cheap fix!
