So you are saying buying a car from Canada then ship to US is cheaper than buy a car from US? Thanks. Would it worth going thru all the conversion/paper work?

The paperwork is minimal on a 2 year old or older car unless you are trying to get a new Mercedes into the US from Canada. I would call and ask the dealer for references so you can talk to customers who experienced "importing" first hand. My impression though is there is hardly anything to it for an established model like the S Class.

I know in Canada, they use KM for the odometer while Miles for the US. First thing in mind they have to replace that ... wonder how much it would cost?

You will probably want to call for current "conversion" prices but the whole process was only a couple hundred dollars two years ago as I best recall. Seems the dealer was willing to pick up the cost on the S I was looking at.

1996 S320 IMO, although I advice you to have a look at the E-class

Although I have heard that E class is the most reliable car mercedes's ever made, I just don't like the way it looks ... it's not a compact car and also not big enough either!
