RE: is 67 hp good enough
67 is... relaxed. I guess you might have a 240 which someone has put a 230E boot-lid on; if you are allowed to start it up, tell us whether it has a glow-plug light in the dash or not. Glow-plug = deisel = 67hp. No glow-plug = petrol = 136hp.
If you are putting this car together so you can learn to drive, then PLEASE fix things in this order:
Even a 67bhp car, going downhill, can go quite fast enough to wreck nasty old perished tyres, and cheap cars often have "difficult" maintenance by people with not much money. I have a half share in a Citroen H Van (see www.hvanheaven.co.uk, though there's not many pix there now), and while it doesn't even have 67hp, it does weigh a ton and a half (and carries a lot more) so we pay far more attention to the brakes than the engine!
London, right in the middle
03 CL500 (Black/Grey, 48k, Comand, 7GTronic, Keyless Go) 302 Bhp
01 E430 (Silver/Black, 112k, Comand, Lingua, 7 seats, tow...) 275 Bhp
97 SLK (40k, Yellowstone, partner's car!) 200 Bhp
03 A210 AMG (Black/Black, 63k, project rescue car) 140 Bhp
...I make that 917 Bhp...!
