If a picture "paints a thousand words"...

What it reminds me of is all those magazine articles that claim, "while you are driving look in the direction of where you wish to go..."

I must give "gramps" credit because she looks like she is looking, "exactly where she wants to go..." [forgetting all else]...

I imagine the photo to be real because it looks like one of those city "traffic cams" that let officials know of traffic problems...

At least if "gramps" in court took a dying oath claiming to have never seen the pedestrian... she probably would not be lying...

I doubt she saw the pedestrian at all...

well having a good look at the picture i dont think the drive even knows shes hit someone, but i have to say just because the lights might be in the favour of the chap one should allways look when crossing the road and you never look to the opposite way of traffic when crossing, its common sence[:)]

Looking at the cars, I think that's in the UK. Grandpa won't be in jail; you have to do a whole lot of damage in a car here before they lock you up.

shame we can't see the traffic lights to work out whether Grandpa jumped a green - though it's impossible to guess from what the peds are doing since there's no jaywalking offences here and people just walk out when they think they can get away with it.
