DEAD TACH in 190D

Does anyone know how/where the tach is connected or
if it is fused in the 1985 190D.

I was giving the car a rough ride on some county roads when it died.

The tach is electric. If the rest of your cluster works (like the clock directly under it), then I wouldn't suspect the fuse, but possibly the tach itself or the wire harness to the cluster.

Same thing happened to me in my 95 Chevy truck when I topped it out on the highway...
