We had several MB parked for 5 weeks with alarms on with no problem. They always started without charging.
But if you have locked garage, better is pull the cable from the battery.

keep battery charged

why not get one of the solar battery chargers that keep your battery up to snuff? ... let the sun work for you........... wal-mart has them for $49 ?
think they just plug into the cigar lighter

Don't you think, that charger (solar) left in a car can cause fir or smth like that staying for a long time turned on? As long as I know cigar lighter is not designed for such a use.

Also interesting question. I heard that car radio can get locked if you disconnect the battery. After that you need to type in the unlocking code. I am the third owner of my Benz, and I do not know the code...

If it is the original radio, you can call a dealer and give them your VIN; then they can look up your radio code. If it is not you will need the radio serial number. At least that is what we do in the U.S.A.
