1985 380 SL

hello
i am new to the benz world; i purchased a 91 300 se about 6 weeks ago so im still learning about these machines. anyway, a friend just bought an 85 380 SL with 14k miles and i cant figure out what the body style is. i can't find specs for this vehicle and i need some help educating myself about this car. any thoughts? thanks so much

yup, 14K. it has been in a heated storage garage for years and years. im not sure what work needs to be done on it but it does need some attention, mechanical and with detailing, as it was not covered, just in a garage.

Everybodies dream...to find a collectible that has only has 14K miles on it. Too bad it was not covered...You got to get us some pictures!!! I am extremely curious as how it looks after that many years in storage. My wife and I absolute love the the 380 SL...that's our next MB in the plannning.

Isn't the 380 engine the all-aluminum sleeved type that MB had some trouble with? something to the effect of the sleeves in the cylinders coming loose???
