420 SEL alarm

I unlocked the door to my 88 420 sel this morning and the alarm went off and won't stop. When it finally stopped I relocked the doors and unlocked them again and again the alarm went off. Putting the key in the ignition and starting the car did not stop the alarm. Is there a temporary way to disable so I can at least drive to the dealer? Can the alarm be removed or disabled by a dealer?[?][?]

RE: 420 SEL alarm

I had exactly the same issue.I went and bought some graphite lock lube spray and sprayed it into the drivers side door lock.It came with the same long tube that wd40 comes with.A lot of the graphite spray ran down the side of the car door but cleaned up nicely with a clean rag. After I had treated the all the locks the alarm has never gone off again.(once i was driving around for about 30 minutes while the alarm was going off).I think the brand of the lock spray was called lock ease---it came in a small aerosol spray,or squeeze bottle.---it saves a trip to the dealership or your local indy guy.
