RE: For all you Black Benz owners like me

I Got my Black 500 SEL 1985 and I use a soft polish but it's not give me that much shine. I thing if I use a hard Wax it would.

Again, I would recommend Zaino (www.zainostore.com)
If you follow their guidance - you will need to polish it twice a year and you will be always riding showroom polished mirror-like car [:)]

for lcmlee, your friends idea won't work and either will yours. The reason you don't have to dry is because of the soap that comes with it. It has a special polymer in it that causes the sheeting action of water off the car. As far as hard water well yes you can use it to deionize your water that way. I have the inside on this product and have been using it before it came out on the market.
Ok, comment noted. I could see what you mean about the system working as a whole: Wash & rinse with the Mr. Clean machine...and that it would not be effective if you only did one of the steps.

How do you know my idea about Jet-Dry will not work? Have you tried it? Why do you think it would not work?

RE: For all you Black Benz owners like me

I have heard alot about the zaino products on this other detailers web site i visit. Some people swear by it some dont, if you drop me a line on the side i will send you the link to the web site. I am not sure if i can post it on here, do you know? As for the jet dry, i dont know if it will work of not but what i do know is that some surfactants( soaps) are harse and will strip your wax right off, I can ask one of my chemists if you want, but i would stick to safer less harse soaps made for vehicles.

Now that would be excellent if you can get a chemist opinion on Jet-Dry on car wax. Yes, that is my greatest concern...experimenting with Jet-Dry and ending up with a 10K bill for a total repaint (btw: on the day that I repaint my 400 SEL...it's going to be done using aircraft paint. A little dangerous for the painter because it involves mixing cyanid. But the result you get. Short of unreal...but got to be careful...this will be many years away...and possbily may not happen if I keep my due-diligence in cleaning/claying/polishing/waxing duties)

There is a lot of discussion about the duster both for and against in the other MB website (at least 31 posts). You should be fully informed before using it.
