RE: Quality of Factory Radio
Alan: Don't give up yet! -LOL- Granted, it's just a matter of semantics, but I've flatly stated to both the service & used car manager that "I'm beginning to understand how a minority (read: pre-owned car buyer) feels by getting the run-around & lack of quality service." -LOL-
Just last week (4/26), I turned in my car with a written list of twelve (12) issues for them to fix. They discovered the part I pre-paid $1,000 for (& was sitting in their parts department for > 2 weeks) was damaged. They "fixed" two (2) of the twelve issues & had me pick up my car on 5/1. They had me pay $200 labor cost in advance so the part would have an extended warranty. -LOL-
I dropped my car back off to them on 5/7 after taking a vacation. I'm learning a lot about patience & humor. As a shareholder of DCX, I'll formally file a consumer report when everything is finished. [8)]
As for the radio, the reception is pretty fair on my car, though my favorite classical station has some multi-path issues. I didn't feel so bad after driving a 2004 MB & finding the same results. -LOL-
Please stay in touch about your results with MB quality!
