E and C tires advice please

I recently purchased an E320 and am contemplating purchasing additional tire & rim coverage. I had heard that the tires are "soft" and often need repairs-while others have told me that is ridiculous.
would appreciate any advice. Thanks

RE: E and C tires advice please

It seems to me ,any fully indendent suspension car ,is a tire eating machine . Normal rotation and good alignment / air pressure will maximize your mileage.

Hard driving / cornering will leave you with tread in the center and, none on the sides. High dollar tires DO have harder rubber compounds, soft tires DO wear out quicker .
