Engine over heating

The auxilory fans on 300se 1991. do not switch on regular basis. When the Ac is on, the fans do not switch on... The engine begins to overheat... and the fan do not turn on. I replaced the auxilory fan switch and it did not eliminate the problem.

I would appreciate it If anyone can offer advise on the cause of this problem [?]

RE: Engine over heating

Hi Omar.

Use some jumper wires and wire
the fan directly to the battery.
If the fan runs it is OK.

If not then they will need to replaced.

If I remember correctly then one of the
temperature sensors controls the on and
off function of the fans.

Follow the wire comming from the fans
untill you see where it goes.
A temperature sensor should be on the
other end.

Also check the fuse.
