motor over heats

i own a 1995 S320 5speed LWB
STAR ONE MOTORS A MERCEDES BENZ DEALERSHIP IN AJAX ON. HAVE CHANGED THE LIQUID THERMOSTAT AND HAVE REPLACED THE 120 DEGREE ELECTRONIC THERMOSTAT
NOW EVERY THING WORKS FINE IN THE WINTER HOWEVER IN THE SUMMER ON HOT SUMMER DAYS WHEN YOU ARE STUCK IN TRAFFIC OR ARE STOP AND GO TRAFFIC THE MOTOR HEATS UP TILL THE 120 DEGREE THERMOSTAT KICKS IN.
ALSO WHEN YOU ARE TRAVELLING IN MOUNTAINOUS AREAS AND ARE OING UP A HILL IN THE FIFTH GEAR AND ARE DOING APPROX 50 MPH THE MOTOR HEATS UP
IS THERE ANY WAY OF CORRECTING THIS
HELP WOULD BE CERTAINLY APPRECIATED

PLEASE REPLY TO malisch@rogers.com

RE: motor over heats

hey bill, where are the mountains in ontario?[:D], 50 mph? a true canuck would say 83.33kph. easy on the caps lock.

take the car back to the dealership. you paid good money for them to fix the problem and they didn't. could be as simple as an improper anti-freeze ratio or much more complicated like coolant blockage. also try posting on the S320 forum, someone may have had the same problem.

welcome to the forum.
