300 CD - I need some guidance

I have found a 1985 300 CD with 170K on it. It has all service stamps in the book from a local dealer. Original paint (gray) and tan leather. Everything works but the cruise. The HVAC does not blow out of the center vents. Recent work it has had is new shocks, timing chain, complete mufler system, brakes and roters. It drives great and appears to have no rust. It also has rear headrests. The seller will take $5K. I plan to have the local Benz store do a pre-purchase inspection. This will be a 3rd car so it will not get tons of miles put on it. The conncern I have is will I spend a ton of money keeping this running? Is the $5K price fair?
Also, it is not a "trap" model!
