New to the forum

My wife just purchased a pristine 2002 CLK430 with only 6800 miles on it, and boy, are we psyched about it!!! She bought it to replace a 2000 Audi A6 4.2 that caught fire in our garage on 1/4/04. The fire destroyed the Audi, my 2003 Corvette coupe, and about 40% of our house. The CLK replaces the Audi, I'm buying a new Corvette on Saturday, and th house is being rebuilt. Damn...I'm thrilled she has a Mercedes!!![:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]

No C6 for me...right now. It will take Chevrolet 3 years to work out the kinks!

How did it catch fire?
Sad to hear, but I'm curious.

Good luck with the car.

Buy the older C5 Corvette, the new C6 looks too toyish.

RE: New to the forum

While I welcome you to the club, I sure feel for the way it came to be. I hope all the most important things were saved.

Getting a new C5 coupe or will you be getting a Z06? My neighbor just got a heck of a deal on a coupe. Sweet car.

Just how did that Audi catch on fire. I was just starting to like Audi's again [V]

RE: New to the forum

i don't think there will be any kinks to work out with the C6. it is more of an evolution from the C5. i do like that interior though. major upgrade. and the tighter turning-circle will be welcome. still up-in-air on the headlights.
