Engine Conversion

Has anyone heard of or seen a 92'ish merc with a crazy engine conversion, because i was wondering how hard it would be ( i know it would b a bstrd with engine mounts and so forth), but i was thinking an SR20DET. I know it would hammer, but i'm pretty sure it would not be worth the effort, but if u know any tales please let me know.

Cheers

RE: Engine Conversion

The SR20DET is the engine from the 180SX(Japanese 240SX with a turbo 4banger)

Not a bad idea, but small block v8s are more common so people know what you're doing, Mazda rotaries are lighter and the RB series(skyline) is mucho cooler and the 2JZ(supra) has better power potential.

it would probably be easiest to turbo the stock engine in your car and cooler to drop in a AMG motor but for outside motors I think an RX-7 motor would be the best choice for the light weight and then a US V8 because they are just so easy.
