Did you JK in Baltimore?

Why would you import a S600? Aren't there plenty available here in the US already?

RE: Importing a 1996 S600, Distasteful Experience

Well, at the time 2 years + ago, bringing in an S600 w/ about 30K for only 20K plus 6500 for converting gave us a great car at a great price.

We also didn't mind the Euro as I have excellent parts resource and a friend w/ the Euro EPC on his computer. For work (aside from computer bits we couldn't handle) we would do it all ourselves (ran a restoration shop for over 40 years...

Regards
Jonathan

Are you importing a 600 SE or an S600 SWB? That would be worth importing because there are absolutely none in the U.S. I would love the V12 in the short wheelbase!

Well, I was unaware that a short was made.. As such knowing mine is anything buy short, I took it to be the long varient. Thinking along the lines of 500SE, 500SEL etc...
