RE: Mercedes Loyalty

Sorry Andy, I thought my sarcasm spoke for itself. I didn't think comparing a SUV to a car was fair.

i wonder how many people who purchase chevy have the means to buy a Mercedes. if you can only afford $20,000 on a car then your choices are quite limited. whereas the $50,000 budget offers more options and thus a generally more thorough selection process.

JD Powers continues to discredit themselves with attention grabbing headlines based on shock value.
this is probably my own preference, but a good used mercedes, even an old one, beats out a chevy any day. I had a chevy blazer :::shudders::: and a ford taurus :::big shudder::: Never again! If I need a truck it will be toyota, anything else will be a mercedes. I dont think enough people realize what a good old used one is worth on reliablity and safety and they dont realize one can be bought pretty inexpensive (2k).

RE: Mercedes Loyalty

"Why is ruining BMW is their stupidity in engineering the highest selling cars. Like the new 7-series. That car violates one of my main commandments of automobiles "Thou shalt not have more gadgets than horsepower." The I-drive, worst idea ever. The Park helper, another horrible idea. The ultra senstive self closing doors. The worlds ugliest seats. And on top of it, the worst shifter since the 3 on the Tree."

The problem is, there isnt much power in the first place, look at the engine in the 760, only 30hp up from the 10 year old M119.
