1982 500 SEC value?

Well, for me this car is invaluble. However I was wondering what is the real value for it. It is of course not in blue book. It is a 1982 500sec. It was imported by an individual in 1985 and has its customs papers. It is in EXCELLENT shape all it needs is a bit of paint, the clear coat is peeling a bit. Interior is perfect, runs beautiful. It is 151,000 miles. If anyone has info on my beauty I would appreciate it. You may email a reply to me at metaylorokc@aol.com or post a message.[:o)]

RE: 1982 500 SEC value?

You might get better responses by posting this in the W126 forum. FWIW, it's kind of hard to pin down an accurate value on these older Mercedes. I've seen asking and selling prices vary on cars like mine anywhere from just under $5K to $12K.

RE: 1982 500 SEC value?

I got mine for 7k, its an 84 500SEC with 86k miles but people have told me its worth 10.

If you find the right buyer you could prolly get 7k but you'll be sitting on it awhile.

Here's one local to us

The crummy Ford dealership in Edmond has had this 560 SEC on their used lot for several weeks now (the so-called "internet only" price is the same one listed in the newspaper every day).
