Question Brake repair S500 AMG

I have a 2000 S500 AMG and I am replacing the rear discs on the Brakes. I watched a video and took off the old pads. only one cylinder can be depressed. As I depressed one the other one came out, and will not move at all now. I have tried a pad spreader Have considered taking out the bleeder screw totally but not sure that will Help. Have looked on line and not seen anything that helps. What can I do to get the cylinder to move without taking the whole unit off. That looks difficult and I would still have to get the cylinder to retract.
