Hi , I am new to this forum, seriously looking for a G55 AMG to import to the Uk, only problem is a slight lack of funds and bad exchange rate, needs to be new one or a 2009 facelift model, anyone got any ideas how i can get a discount
To get a discount, lobby the Queen and suggest that the the RAF bombard Germany again to prevent the invasion of Poland again... then go and negotiate a peace accord and have Germany present you with a new G55 for free....

The whole idea of a forum is to get advice from like minded enthusiasts, not for them to try and ridicule any suggestion that someone new may be looking for advice. Maybe I should look elsewhere for advice as it seems that in your purchase of a 55 ( if you actually have one !! ) you may be making up for smaller things elsewhere !

Agreed. It seems like this forum is more rooted in elitism, my c is bigger than your c, and covering up problems, or explaining them away by telling people they don't have enough money to own one of these cars, as far as maintaining them is concerned.
Since when does anyone with a G55 give discounts on them? They only produce 300 or so a year. I went to NUMEROUS dealers nationwide and the best deal they'd give me is 3,500 off the MSRP because they know they'd eventually sell it.
If you want a discounted G55, get a used 2005 or 2006. There is your advice, but my original "if you cant afford it, dont buy it" statement stands.
If you are looking for a discount on the price now.. i suggest you also negotiate with BP to get a discount on petrol since you'll be there 5 times a week.

Anything can be discounted. You simply have the find the dealer who has a situation where they can't sell one, or the market factors are not right to sell one, and seize it.
