I have SL 55 AMG 2008 as my summer car "because of the snow" and my winter and daily drive is Porsche Cayenne Turbo 2006.
I need some comments and suggestion from you auto fans!
My dad bought G55AMG 2008 modell, the lattest the last modell of G class, with rear view camera, wide screen command and many news things for G class. It seems that doest lilke it, because of its look etc. Car has 1500miles, so its tottaly new! Black with white designo leather and all possible options which are availible for G 55 AMG 2008.
I think that i will give him my Cayenne in order that he will give it to Porsche center and take latest cayenne turbo "facelifted".
What do you think about it? Ofcource I can do the same with the porsche... but god, how this G 55 AMG 2008 LOOKS!!! its amazing car, and the power is alkdka... cant express!!! I tested it with latest cayenne TURBO, I killed it easily with G55AMG until 60-90m.
Any ideas regarding G 55 AMG 2008??? Plus I think its a good collection SL 55 AMG 2008 and G 55 AMG 2008!!! for 20 years old!!!
Thank you in advance for your comments and suggestions!!!
Brgds,
Eurorus...

The only things that I never liked about the G-Class were the harsh ride and the lack of a decent turning radius. If I were you I wouldn't do it, but that's just my personal opinion. If the G-Class makes you happy then you should go for it.
A few years back I test drove the G55 and thought the cayenne turbo was overall the better daily driver, and at least back then, I thought the G55 wasn't in the same league as the cayenne turbo handling wise. Just my two cents.
Which ever way you decide to go, update this, I personally like the G series, except for the box look, but overall it seems to be a great car. But the Cayenne also seems like a great SUV, so good luck, and choose wisely!
Well in my personal opinion, it all depends on your style of driving. The porche is something you could easily drive every day, and if you needed a little extra something for weather or off road you have it. Now the G 55 is a true 4 wheel drive off road king, its not something I would drive everyday, unless I lived somewhere I need off road or maybe somewhere that has some serious snow. I think Benz created the g 55 out of pure competition against Landrover. But you have to let us know what you decided. I was going to go with the G55 but I really didn't have the need for 4 wheel, so I went with the speed and all wheel drive of the ML 63. Good luck!
I am almost in the same situation but for a Porsche 911 Carera 4S and I watch the problem also through financial terms.
I am planing to have this car (G55AMG) for 5 or 6 years and most probably the resaling price (in absolute value) would be grater for G55AMG.... and it looooooooooks grater than P.
and of course a new G will look almoust exactly like today while P will be a brand new model totaly changed from today model.
and of cource it is a car "pour le connaisseur". the people who know the car will have an envy smile. the others.... the hell with them, they know nothing. I mean NOTHING.
