Europa has them. They're not cheap. The manufacturer is here:

Brush Guard Link

Thanks for the link to the manufacturers Dutch. Installation drawings are very useful.
Only wish I had looked this morning though. I have just spent the last six hours fitting one of these, by trial and error, without the drawings. At least I know now that it's correct.
Regards

Very nice Dutch!

I only wish it was a little easier to link directly to their G-page. But I'll find a way to get SOMETHING into the CGW links page.

That hunter option for the brush guard is really neat. Is it a whole other brush guard you need to do that, or just pivots and struts for the standard one to fold down?

It looks like the only difference is the support struts and the locking pins on the swivel pins that are shown in the inset on the PDF. All else appears the same as mine.

Of interest is that, when I last purchased mine from a dealer in Germany a couple of months ago, I was told that MB is no longer selling them. I wonder if it has anything to do with the EEC proposal to outlaw them by reason of pedestrian safety, as discussed on one of the pages in their website.

Hmmm. Interesting. In any case, I think you need to have yours customized and fit each of the upright bars with a row of 4" spikes. Just for sake of protest. Sort of along the Mick Dundee approach, "...That's not a noif.....THIS is a noif!..."[}:)]

RE: Brush Guard

Hi
It looks identical to the 463 one we have just fitted to my car. I did however also install it with a new 463 bumper onto a 460.(straight swap BTW)
The only part that I can't see clearly on the Ebay pic. is the bracket that clamps around the bumper. On the 463 one we fitted, I noticed they are sided and very slightly shaped to accommodate the profile of their respective sides.
I would suggest you contact the vendor for close-up pics. of the bracket. If it is only for a 460/461 I would also suggest contacting the manufacturers directly for information and possibly the right bracket if needed. Check Dutch's link above.
Regards

RE: Brush Guard

I have just removed the grille guard from my 2002 G500 and am looking to sell.
What do these things go for?
Is the ARB the way to go to replace it?

thanks.

RE: Brush Guard

I have a brand new one I purchased 1/2 year ago, but decided not to install. I decided to give my G a diffrent look and will not be using it. Its made for a 463, but like I'm sure youve read already it'll fit a 460. If you are interested PM me an offer.
