Wheel options - possibly more options

Anybody ever consider spacers such that more common after-market rims could be used (offset AND bolt pattern)?

I have a contact that makes a very high quality product here in the US. I need to ask him first - but I would bet he would be interested in supporting the G.

(no financial incentive on my part - just trying to help the G community and a small independent business).

I talked to the guy who makes wheel spacers. I told him there might be a market for the G. I have no need - nor do I have any financial interest in this endeavor.

Here's his reply:

I could make up some custom spacers for the G Wagen no problem.
Actually I am making up a lot of prototype spacers in two weeks. I can
add this on to the list. What I will need is a G Wagen hub and some
info on the g waggen wheel.

If someone can send me a hub for designing the adapters, I will offer
them a set at a severe discount.

He needs a hub for the prototype and whoever supplies one gets a discount on the set.

Hope this helps somebody out with custom G wheel needs.

I have the adapters for sale in the CGW 'store'

I have offered to people that I can have different items I had made for my project made for them as well. I had the adapters made at one point, and could have them made again. Check the STORE or pricing.

RE: Wheel options - possibly more options

I searched the forum for "spacers" there seems to be a lot of G owners using them - even some 02+ owners. ORC also sells them - regulations in Germany are very tough. If ORC is sells spacers I highly doubt they will have a high failure rate if correctly used.
