Anybody have experience with the Brabus 17" rims?

I've seen brabus 17" rims which are 8 or 8.5" wide and have a little more offset. They are attractive to me for a few reasons.

I do mostly on road driving and i like to turn fast so handling is nice, but i still like to drive in the snow and do actually hit dirt often enough to enjoy the all terrain tires i had on my Pathfinder.

The brabus 17"s are particularly intersting for me because of the combination of attributes...i get slightly wider track and the rim width gives a slightly more supported sidewall for a given tread width... therefore better handling, but it still has an inch more rubber overall which should prevent the ride from getting any harsher, and with more sidewall it's better for offroad... and there are more A/T tire choices for 17's. It's the combo of all the things i like.

Why not 16's?... cause i (unfortuanetly) don't like how they look (although i saw a picture here of a military G with the black 16's with the MBUSA 18" style which looked very good)... but more importantly i don't think i want to sarcifie corning... and i don't need the extra comfort... that is unless someone tells me i'll blow through my bearings in half the time on anything but the G320 16's. :)

Thanks ahead for any response! :)

All your ideas are right. There is nothing more to say about. When you like them, go for them.

Ronal Makes the Wheels

Ronal makes wheels for Brabus, AMG and Lorinser.

Ronal has a nice 17" wheel that will fit your car that is less $ than Brabus that looks very nice.

I would go with the Ronal wheels...

They can fit this wheel to the Gelaendewagen...I spoke with the office in the U.S.A.

Maybe you can even buy "Scratch and Dent" Brabus wheels from the German office. Not dented wheels, but perhaps wheels that some how got "scratched" in the production process that Brabus could not use...Just a thought.
