Rear Seat Belt Problem - Benzworld.org

I have a 1985 280ge swb. The left and right side rear seat belts are very hard to pull out from the retracted position.If I keep trying to pull them out they will eventually release. Is there any way to repair this problem so they release each time they are pulled? Thanks Inadvance Mike

Hi Mike I have had the same problem in the past. The part that the seat belt comes from rolls up on needs to be in the stright up position. Have the belt holder pointing stright up at the ceiling and tighten it down real good then try it worked for me. looks a bite funny but works every time and holds for safety Good luck.

Bill your method works for the centre rear belt. I am still having trouble with the left and ride rear side belts. Any other suggusetions would be be aprreaciated. Thanks
