Restoring old emblems...

petermerle, I have had some success restoring out of manufacture emblems for older Corvettes. I over sprayed the entire emblem, then dampen a cloth in lacquer thinner and lightly wipe over the raised part of the emblem removing the necessary paint. The work is tedious, but this proceedure will leave the painted background.
There is another proceedure that requires powder coating by a pro shop.
The sugggestion to by new is the easiest way if the emblem is avaliable.
