Is this the same G as for sale by Dave Maynard earlier this year? Looks very similar - I've asked why the quick sell, if they are indeed the same. I'm not implying anything about Dave or the ride - I was very interested in it!

Well, it is, as many of you knew but didn't care to report. I think this is a damning case of a 20 year old vehicle selling (previously) for WAY too much money to someone who had no idea what they were buying.
The descriptiom says nothing about the conversion work or who performed it. That should be explained by the seller. That cost alone would be twice the current bid if not done at time of importation. Lots of frivolous information.
Where in D.C., we are going to the Oakton/Vienna/Fairfax area for Thanksgiving... also interested in a Cabriolet. Likewise saw this one, and thought that there was no real intrinsic or valuable information that would make this an attractive sell to a current owner or student of G-Wagens... Did not however think add contained devious or malicious content... Was curious about the "sunroof"
I think that the 80plus visits are like mine who scan all new posts when checking the daily news or weather... relax... have a glass of wine... or better yet, take the G out for a drive...
