Where to get appraisal in Seattle area?

I need to get an appraisal done for financing. I took my G down to Park Place in Bellevue figuring that would be my best guess but they couldn't find enough for sale to make a good appraisal. Anybody around here familiar with these that can do a proper appraisal?

I did a little searching on the internet and found a couple of possibilities in Seattle. You might also want to call Norm Keiser, his number in on the GwagenClub site, for a ball park idea of value.

NADA is publishes the little orange colored book. Many credit unions use this to establish values on collector cars, and will loan to 90% of the listed value. There is a Website that can be found by searching for "NADA". (You might be a little suspect of anything that has an acronym that is pronounced "Na Da" - Ya think?)

I would bet the sales folks at your dealership can refer you to their "blue, orange, yellow book" values.

My bet is that a 1982 G in "good or better" condition will come in at around 13,000 to 15,000 $US. But it has been three or four years since I last looked at the NADA book. I think they list three levels or conditions, so you have a range of figures to compare to your vehicle.

You can access the NADA guide from the Web at www.nada.com. Go look for "Classic Cars" and you will find something close.

Try doing your financing with PeopleFirst LLC (do an internet search for phone, etc) No appraisal, very low rates. The bad news? Only finances the better credit quality customer. I've done two vehicles through them with no questions/problems.
