Rear door panel removal?

I am trying to remove the large interior panel on the rear door of a 2002 G500. Already removed is the hefty door handle and door opener bracket. I thought maybe the panel would just pull off, but it seems to require force that makes me think something else is involved! Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris

If you have removed any remaining visible screws, the panel is held in place by interior plastic "rivets". Start at the bottom and feel along the edge of the panel for any slight looseness. You will then feel the attachment points. Simply pull there and the panel should loosen. I have used a putty knife to remove the panel, so as not to break the rivets.

Hope that helps
Pete

Thanks, I got it.

Pete,
Thanks for your response, that was what I needed to feel confident enough to pull "really" hard. It's off with only one broken rivet.[:(]
Thanks again,
Chris
