: Will the tires fit under a 300 GD without a bodylift?

I think you can get the 33x9.5-15s in without any trouble. The 12.5" wide 33's will require some lift and possibly some trimming on the body mount tube behind the front wheel. I understand that the body lifts are difficult to install on the G, a better solution is to change springs to get the lift.

The tubes are alleady trimmed. I do know that 32/11,5/15 will fit.
Greetz

: Will the tires fit under a 300 GD without a bodylift?
This link (below) was given to me here once when I had a similar question (although, for 35s). If you haven't checked that out yet, it may give you an idea. Going "bigger" may also mean that you potentially throw your engine out of its ideal powerband (just something to consider if you haven't already). Regearing the axle ratio is expensive/difficult, but can be/shoud be done. YMMV.
http://www.4x4abc.com/G/35.html
Andreas.

In any case are 8" rims really the minimum for 12.5 tyres. I did not have to cut anything to the body to make it work.

Paul
1980 280GE upgrade to 500GE
